Receiving an education at California State University has given me the tools necessary to create my own style in Graphic Design. These are some examples of the work I have done in my time at University and also the work I have done in my spare time as a freelance designer. Some of my major strengths in Graphic Design are color theory, layout, typography, photography, and web design.
In all of the images that are presented here, there are examples of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, LightRoom, and Bridge. Within all of these works of art, there are examples of the vast research done to accumulate the ideas to create. Furthermore, another major key to success that has been ingrained into my brain is time management, which is a key component to the creation of these works to be finished by the deadlines given.
While working in the e-commerce field I was able to gain experience with email newsletters and interacting with marketing to achieve a common goal. I have done various web pages for entirelypets.com as well as Social Media Marketing with Graphic Design experience. We strive for small business growth through design and marketing to appeal to a wider market. Working with you to create more traffic and sales and create an easier interface.
For my senior project, I created a t-shirt company called RAIZ, which makes shirt designs correlate to Aztek culture. The decision to create these shirt designs came as a way to look into my heritage and be able to capture what has been lost. Throughout the process of creating these designs, I had to do research on each God and Goddesses in order to capture the essence of their origins. Also, the shirts come with a catalog, which showcases all of the designs and gives a brief description of the Gods and Goddesses.
While at California State University East Bay and previous junior colleges, I have worked on many different Illustrations that have helped shape my style in art. Spending the past couple of years in the Bay Area has given me great material to photograph and capture, which has eternalized the essence of what the Bay Area is to me, which is hard to do because it is such a vast diverse geographic area. These images span from Santa Cruz to San Francisco and everywhere in between. Prints are available upon request.
